British Cycling Brings Its Stars To Cycle Show
British Cycling's top names will be in attendance at this week's Cycle Show to sign autographs and talk to visitors. The event has attracted Olympic Gold medalists Nicole Cooke, Jamie Staff and Ed Clancy as well as two time World BMX Champion Shanaze Reade. On display will also be the downhill mountain bike that current World Champion Steve Peat rode throughout the World Cup series, Shanaze Reade's Olympic BMX bike and the World Record breaking as well as the Gold medal winning Team Pursuit track bike that Ed Clancy rode at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Visitors will be able to find out how British Cycling membership can help them make the most of cycling, how to sign up for the successful Skyride initiative, which is getting Britain back on its bike, and how the Go-Ride programme can help young people into competitive cycling. British Cycling's CEO, Ian Drake, said: "As the governing body of cycling, we cover all aspects of the sport, from creating the world's best athletes to getting people on a bike for the first time. "This week visitors to the Cycle Show can speak to us directly to find out what we are about and what we can do for them, whether they cycle to compete, ride to work or ride for the thrill of it." British Cycling stand (number D31) is located next to the Wattbike stand and Mountain Bike Experience. For more information please visit www.britishcycling.org.uk.
